NLRB Election Guidebooks

Navigation during attempted union organization offers a unique challenge to employers, their supervisors and managers. A failure to observe the NLRB's employer restrictive rules of engagement has often entangled unwary employers into months or even years of expensive, time consuming litigation.

While  the "Guidebook" and the "Handbook" are not intended as substitutes for legal guidance, both offer a window for a greater understanding as to the election process.

The "Handbook" is designed to give "floor" supervision a practical understanding as to what to expect, do, or not do during a union campaign.

The " Guidebook" goes into greater detail outlining the various challenges involved in  managements efforts to direct and guide its supervisory staff before, during and after the election. The "Guidebook" has also been used to good effect by less experienced counsel in dealing with the representation hearing and post hearing matters.
